Rural Solar Kit for farms (off grid-mid)

Description

This Farming Solar Kit or Rural Solar kit is a good all rounder, which allows for more than just a light and a radio.
We will say this is middle to higher end to give you some idea if you are not solar and power clued up.

6kw Inverter (48v).
For most  use,  its going to be lights, recharging things, and maybe run a pump, fridge, shower radio, out side lights, incubator and such like. – 26amp AC Power.

4.5Kw of solar.
solar for the farm is different to a home installation, typically you will need more power when it is darker and this is when solar does not perform well. (read articles of sun angle)
We would recommend a winter bias setup where your panels are winter bias. this would require a ground mount or fence mount system. – Not included but contact us or look for this in the shop
Summer yield 23kwh Winter Yield 2.2/3.8kwh

Generator 6kva
We are not going to include this, they are around £1000.  You may want this for welding and winter battery charging This can be automatized to keep the battery charged and the system online, Diesel (red) can be used here. If you have a generator already, it should be 3kva as a minimum and its helpful to have a cold start function so that the inverter can turn it on if required.

10kWh Battery storage (5×2).
do take note or consultation on the battery type, we supply LFP or SLA for low use and cold conditions then SLA may be better, for all other applications then LFP.
The packs are 5.1kwh and there are two packs giving you just over 10kwh of energy storage. If you find that you want AC to run during the summer then this is possible, you would be able to have washing machines on site as well as cooking and refrigeration as a constant use should be between 5 and 7 kwh per day. Adding batteries is rather simple and cost effective at around £700 LFP.
Remember – You need to keep LFP batteries above freezing when charging SLA is almost double the price, should you need to consider changing the battery.

You will need –
Gen port (depending on switching)
AC Wiring and fittings
Earth rod
Solar mounting kit.

We sell everything that you could possibly need. What we don’t want to do is make a solar kit, when you do not need much of the hardware.
We do offer design and consultation for installation as well as the installation of the system.
