Description
Solar on the farm should be easy and in this kit we have designed with a small system that will work for those looking for power, for lights, fridge and a few other things. This is a minimal system and not for grid replacement, but will reduce noise and cost of generators. I know some off grid homes run systems with this power.
24v inverter – for up to 3kw of power (13 amps AC power)
2700w solar – Solar panels – Summer yield 14kwh – winter -2.kwh
5.1Kwh Battery storage (24v)
Mini Rails – Suitable for metal and flat wood roofs. ( not shown)
PV Cable and connectors
Bus bar.
Installation.
Mount solar panels to the roof, screw on the mini rails using the seal underneath. clamp the panels and connect in series. Connect and secure the PC cables to the inverter.
Mount inverter to the wall. connect PV cables ( checking they are correct).
Fit battery cables to the inverter to the bus bar.
Connect the two batteries to the bus bars.
– Connect PV isolator before the inverter – Connect mega fuse to one terminal of the battery before the cable to the bus bar.
Required PV isolator 23amp. mega fuse 125amp
Manual settings – Bulk 29.2v Float 27.6v Discharge cut off 24V
Ac charge current 20 amp (when charging with a generator).
