32kWh Battery HV – for Solax and Growatt.

Battery packs for HV system can be costly as they are not main stream, Renewsolar breaks the mold again in the battery world with its HV battery available up to 32kWh in a single battery ( big battery).

While size matters when it comes to batteries and storage capacity, small is usually the go to, but for most people. RenewSolar do not just offer the “normal” as we do offer a wide range of custom hardware and software for bespoke or just simply to make something that is needed but not available.

The inverters by Solax and Growatt are “future proof” and high voltage (HV) typically around 300 – 550 volts, this is to make them compatible with V2G, where you plug your car into your solar system.
We happened to know the principles of how this would work and it is rather simple to achieve.

We teamed up with one of our top suppliers on this one to make the BMS, as this is rather unique to have a 100 cell LFP battery pack.

It is hard to combat brand buy-in mentality and marketing along with the world of home power generation. We have worked hard with global partners to bring together key hardware and solutions to meet the peoples needs and drive down costs. But we also are not a budget hardware supplier but offer some designer toys too said Rory Witham CTC of RenewSolar

Building high voltage battery packs lowers the overall current needed and therefore the cells used can be smaller, but it is a trade off with capacity overall. However the middle ground results in costly cells, This leaves us with prismatic cells and larger sizes to balance cost to capacity.
We would offer a small batteries, measuring 20 x 20 x 32 with 1.92kwh. A 90 x 90 x 10 has a capacity of 4kwh. but the physical size to capacity in comparison to a larger wall would not make it viable, but only for those who wanted a “art battery” which would only be available as a commission.

Price estimates on the 32kwh wall mount is in the region of £6,000. Which still is comparable to much smaller capacity offered by other battery suppliers offering around 1/3 of the capacity.
