Description
Buying solar is a bit confusing at times, what’s the best things to have, grid tied, hybrid or something else.
As we tend to use and install solar, as well as carry out testing and real world use, we know what is best.
Grid tied Solar.
Grid tied solar is solar power that works in parallel with the grid power thats supplied to your home. What you make from solar varies and in this case up to 2kw, but you will only save what you use.
this means if you are making 2kw of solar, but using 1kw, your only saving the cost of 1kw and the rest is exported which you may not get paid for. The export could have been saved in a battery if this was a hybrid system, as it stores the power for you to use later, thus would save more money. But if you do not want to invest in batteries and a more costly inverter then these could be what you’re looking for.
The KIT
This is a Kit for installers (DIY) So you should not need more than we provide to you.
The kit includes:
The Growatt 2000w inverter – this can be mounted outside or inside. They are small and good looking as well as quiet.
4 Solar panels – 500w bifacial solar panels.
Solar panel mounting system for plain tiles with flashing (in 1×4 format).
8 meters of SWA Cable.
DC Isolator.
AC isolator.
10amp RCBO (DP).
Enclosure.
MC4 connectors.
30 meters of PV cable.
ROI information.
As this is grid tied you only save what you use unless you are paid for export. You would rely on sun hours to gain solar power for your home and we would estimate around 11kwh of power per day, That’s over 3000kwh per year, or £726 grid price of the power This means that your ROI should be around 1 year if you are using the power. do take note that these provide no power without the sun and your power use maybe out side of those times. – Could be used with Victron (aux in) and Deye/Sunsynk inverters and as part of a Ac coupled system.
