Victron solar installation.

Description

Victron is a popular brand when in comes to solar installations, and here is a solar kit that may be right up your street.
It is  our Victron 3kw multiplus II  with two of our 5.1 kWh rack mounted batteries and 1800 watts of bifacial solar panels.

The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.
It has all the features of the MultiPlus, plus an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist and to optimize self-consumption with external current sensing (max. 32A).
It also has all the features of the MultiGrid with built-in anti-islanding.
The robust MultiPlus-II is the key component in a Victron Energy Storage System. Our new Dynamic ESS feature takes ESS to the next level. It automatically switches between – or combines – grid, battery and solar energy based on live-pricing, predicted energy-use and solar yield so it’s always consuming the cheapest energy.

Because  many solar shoppers and Victron users are often off grid, or man cave builders, we have not included solar mount hardware, this is because you may have other ideas to where your solar is going to go.
If you want or need a mounting solution for your panels do ask and we can get the right kit added to this package for you.

Our battery units in this package are rack mounted and work with Victron, it is ideal to buy a server rack. This is NOT included in the package as you may want more or the option to add more later.
A standard Rack  is measured in U’s the batteries being 4u, so you would need to have a 19″ rack greater than 8u. a 16 or 24u is probably what you will want to have.

The solar panels are bi facial, this allows flexibility in the installation of the solar panels, this maybe on the shed roof, a pergola, or tracker system, it  also could be ground mounted.
While there are 4, 450w bifacial panels, you can add panels to the package by simply adding them to your cart when your ordering.
please note that the charge controller of the Victron system is separate and has limits.

Charge controller.
150/60 for a 2s2p solar panel configuration. The resulting power output peak will be 58.3 Amps and handling 101 Volts.
Doubling the solar power for + £580.00  bringing the power to 3.6kw (4.2kw)
