Buying Batteries from RenewSolar is pretty easy. We invested time and money into ensuring that we have a great range of batteries and high quality. All the worries are taken care of as we quality assure all our batteries and they come with a warranty.
When buying a battery all of them come with a capacity guaranty.
Most of our batteries have a 15 year design life. it is the “budget” and the ABS ( truck type batteries) that have a lesser warranty, but even these have a cycle life of around 4000 cycles. If you made 1 cycle per day, that’s going to be 10 years.
Battery life and cycles really depends on how your look after your battery and how you use it. You can take a look through the articles on this website in respect of batteries and battery life. just so you can know what to really expect with your battery rather than the marketing and tainted information available on line. you really shouldn’t believe what most people say as they are repeating what they have heard, not what they know. ( just saying).
The aim of RenewSolars battery offerings, is to offer the best battery for the money, giving you great value and cutting costs without cutting quality. As long as you follow the manual and instructions, your battery is going to last a long time. The higher the price of the battery, is going to offer better coverage and protection on your battery.
One of our suppliers offers and collect and return service, others will send parts and provide phone and video support. Even remote support and corrections is offered. Then we offer a services as well. after all we are invested in what we sell and have and do test the products.

Many people become transfixed on certain brands, for example the need for EVE Cells in their battery, but for the most part there are cells that are not known outside of china, for example Gotion Cells. –Gotion
Gotion make EV batteries as well as other batteries mainly for transport as well as grid scale energy storage. So the little battery cells here (100ah) and some near small batteries wrapped in a Rack mountable case.
One of the best things is that the weight is manageable, so a person could move the battery around by themselves, which when you have larger and wall mounted batteries, the weight is important, not just for the wall fixing, but trying to get it into place.
Gotion High-tech is a major player in the global battery industry, known for its high-quality LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells and other battery technologies. Their Gotion LF314 340Ah prismatic cell, for example, is well-regarded for its capacity and ease of installation. Gotion also focuses on advanced battery technologies like all-solid-state batteries with their Gemstone battery, which offers a significant increase in energy density and improved safety. Suppliers like Docan Power and Tewaycell offer positive feedback on Gotion’s product quality and service.
JBD – BMS.

JBD Battery Management Systems (BMS) are generally well-regarded for their cost-effectiveness and reliability in LiFePO4 battery builds. They offer features like Bluetooth connectivity and temperature control, aiding in managing and maintaining the performance of battery cells. However, some reviews highlight potential issues with temperature-related disconnect functions, particularly in cold weather. Our budget friendly battery does not come with blue tooth, but could be added along with a touch screen control and display.
The battery is compatible with MUST, Sunsynk, Goodwe, Deye and Victron as well as Pylontech. As Most inverters support Pylontech, then the battery should work with all inverters. With all the functions on the BMS you could add more features if you wished.
The battery cables are a little shorter than we would like and a little thin. While they are fine for 100amp, it is likely that you would add more batteries and therefore wish to link the battery to the other.
The connection type is the “Dual lug”, so there is no “special” fittings when it comes to making cables for your battery storage. You can link the batteries with a short cable but you do have to consider the total current that you would want to draw.
One thing the battery does not comes with is a fuse. there is no internal fuse or external breaker other than what’s on the BMS. Therefore you are wise to buy a fuse. We do stock 125a fuses, there is the mega fuse, which you could connect to the battery terminal and the cable running to the BMS. We also stock inline fuses which would be crimped on with lugs. These are minimal protection over the mega fuses. We also have in stock the T class breakers.
But it is wise to fuse between the batteries to protect them from each other should one have a fault.
For most of you looking at fusing we would suggest breakers, we also stock 125a breakers that a din mounted in enclosures.
Cost.
The battery is our mid range and budget friendly battery, the price is not staggeringly great as there is only so many places that costs can be reduced. The battery comes in at around £750 which is about £300 -£500 lower than most suppliers. it works out around £146 kWh
Delivery.
Oddly we do not send out hardware before its paid for, depending on how you pay can cause variations in the order to ship time. you would be looking at around 1 day minimum to around 2 weeks. But stock orders permitting. if we are ordering in stock then you could be looking at around 7 weeks for your order. But at least the delivery is free and not an extra.
Stock.
people always complain about stock, we do keep stock the website doesn’t always keep things up to date and being frank, its a chore to keep things up to date. If you are here thinking about buying a battery, then there are another 30 people doing the same. As you can see the price is good, so people buy batteries and once the solar bug bites, we just sell out before we even have stock.
Waiting.
If you find your self waiting and think 7 weeks is a long time. its not, if you order a complete solar set up, by the time your filled out all the paperwork and arranged for the sparky to install X Y and Z you will find the waiting time is reduced, in fact most solar installations will take as long as a battery order to be shipped.
If you are adding a battery to your system, yes it is a “bit of a wait”.
Value and considerations.
Its important that you buy the right thing and you should have good value, if you buy 3 of these batteries you will have around 15.4kWh of storage and be able to run a 15kwh inverter. You will be paying £2250. you may want to look at our 15kwh battery which is £1650. but do consider your ability to install the battery and move it.
