We’ve chosen to use Eve LFP cells in a 16-series configuration. You might have heard of EvE – they’re a global leader in battery cell manufacturing, renowned for the exceptional quality and reliability of their products. We wouldn’t settle for anything less for your home.
This configuration delivers a robust 15kWh of stored power capacity at around 51.2 volts, perfectly compatible with most modern 48V systems. And the chemistry of the LFP (LiFePO4) cells are known for their superior stability and inherent fire resistance – a crucial safety feature that gives me, and I hope you, extra peace of mind. In fact, I’ve got LFP batteries in my own home!

The Dimensions
As you can see the unit is fairly large, but narrow, to give you an idea of size its about 10 cm deeper that a washing machine. a little shorter in height and if you placed 2 side by side, then you could have a few CM narrower.
Build and design.
The build quality is different in some ways from the typical battery case, its vented and shielded, a little like having two walls within the battery unit itself, the terminal and breakers are inset to the rear top of the unit.
As you can see, the battery is split on shelves within the battery unit itself. This design could allow for configuration into a 24v battery unit making a 8s2p configuration.
The 15kWh battery is on wheels, which allows you to move the unit and lock the wheels when it is in use or storage.
Having a ground based battery allows for a easy installation without having to lift the battery on to a wall mount, or having strong walls able to cope with the weight.
As you can see the case design is not well suited for industrial workshops as dust can get into the casing, but for most environments, its a good looking battery.
I think in the real world, most people will have this battery sideways to the wall, this would make the battery only reach out 30 cm while giving side access to the cables, and the other side the screen. I think it would look nice in a glass door cabinet, under a work top.. what do you think?
Warranty and life time.
With the cell life expected to be around 15 years, the 15kwh battery has a 5 years warranty. This covers parts and labour for defective hardware and manufacture faults. Needless to say it does not cover, accidental damage and damaged caused by misuse or use out side of the spec. You can ship and return the unit to us for repairs and testing or pay for an onsite call out and repairs.

RenewSolar really try’s to meet the bottom line prices without compromise of quality. We are also a charity, so we do not aim to profit from you.
You can pay less if you order more than 3 15kwh batteries, also by paying direct.
