Lowest price solar
The low priced option has to be the small or medium micro inverter set ups. These system can produce power during the day to off set your usage, typically they will export power most of the summer, but you would save around £1.20 a day on average depending on what you use.
400w Micro with panel and mount is around £180.
1200w Micro and panels with mounts is around £650.
Note, upgrading from this is not cost effective, you could buy a AC coupled inverter which is a battery system that works by taking the excess power produced to store and use later, however adding more micro inverters is not cost effective if you add more than two. or adding a AC coupled inverter to any.
+Token Solar.
Adding Token solar is around £365.00 this will offer you around 8kwh a day from the solar during the summer. As a stand lone, this is good value for money and would pay for itself within a few summer months, but aim for a year.

The prices given about do not include everything that you need for an installation or the installation itself.
Installation can be from £250 to £1000, If you want to play safe add £1000 to the budget so that your completed installation will be less that the budget you have in mind.

Building control have charges this can effect some installations as well as DNO charges (grid), Hardware costs can change based on what your installation needs, like different mount systems, flashings and even down to system bus bars, consumer units and other cables that may have to be laid. We cannot account for what may or may not be there, so take the costs as a average ball park figure. The largest extra costs we have encountered was £3,600 all third party costs! but don’t let that put you off as that was just one installation, most do not have any costs, but on average there maybe £300 – £400.
