Buying solar panels should be easy and cost effective, if you buy from an installer you know you will be paying a little more for your panels and prices vary from place to place, but you would also be hit with £140 delivery charge!
While most people will want solar packages, that is someone to fit their solar and install the inverter. there are many people looking into small solar, like Micro inverters or little shed projects where one of two panels,… maybe 6 or 8 are installed, but adding the delivery costs can make buying small numbers a lot less cost effective.
Here is an example. Solar Panel £104 buy 2, thats £208 and then have them delivered and that works out that you have to pay £174 per panel. Suddenly the price from many suppliers does not look so great.
