Selling solar is not easy, there is a lot of false and misleading information from “experts” surrounding solar who, follow sheep, repeat false and misleading information and this mantra is repeated and the mistakes are made and the results, we have to deal with.
People come to RenewSolar due to the price point or the flexibility of the work and materials we supply. we were the first to cut 70% off battery prices in the UK and we were the first to offer solar panels for less than £60. But we offered a wide range of solar hardware that included off grid solar and alternatives to main stream.
If you read some of the posts on this site we are not profit kind, meaning that if a deal is unfair then we pretty much say so, as well as the cons and background of sales and marketing, such as the 60% profiting from you with solar export, of the grid battery plan so you pay for what the grid will not… as well as the old rent a roof solar scam.
Our business model differs as you don’t pay for our flash lifestyles, vans or other large costs, and as a multi international award winning business, who lowers over heads making business more cost effective, we do not pass costs on to clients. – That being said, the sales by card payment is a services that we offer which the charges are passed to you by your choice. but we are transparent about this.
RenewSolar offers wholesale solar at whole sale prices and the hardware has always been separate from the service costs. This is mostly due to project management where you pay for the expert, who will source your hardware at the best price, meaning you get great value for money. This can be commercial and domestic clients, but its set fees.
The Change
Most people are not special and it can be fairly said that most homes want some thing that works for them. There are a few options that most people want and therefore we are switching up what we offer and deliver as a result.
One of the big issues is going to be informing people about things that they are not entirely sure of and this could move them from their comfort zone as we talk about grid tied, hybrid systems, and grid attached off grid systems.
In the same if could be termed as ” I do not want people to make money from me at a cost to others” – I have ethics and morals. or “I don’t want to be part of the money making system, I think I can do it.
There are others of course who want to save money, and others who will be off grid.

The practical
We understand that there are many options that people want that comes down to space and budget, therefore we are going to make packages (solar kits) and “sections” or modules that can work with your solar projects.
RenewSolar build in house hardware and software that meets the needs and dreams of most whom walk the solar pathway. – we did it first hand.
We are engineers and we have build system integrations, automations and more, but for the most part it was things that no one else built or offered.
The Idea is to make a solar package that works, then have additional modules that you can add to your solar installation. Combiners, trackers, data monitoring, diverters, car charger, all those little bits that are “nice to have” or make things easier.
As we develop, we will be adding to the collection of packages and modules over the next 6 months
Installations
We are going to change our installations to maximise the benefit to customers. This will mean that most installations will take place in March of the year.A further time slot will be in May of each year.
This will mean that projects and orders for installations will need to be made in the 3 months prior.
Dec/Jan – for march installations, and late Feb to April – for May installation.
Note: As hardware is a separate service to installation, you can order your hardware and whole solar platform which is delivered to you prior to installation.
Installations requiring ground work are usually sub contracted, so that the installation and testing of the solar only takes 3 days. Grid exporters, should be aware than a DNO inspection may be required after installation, which normally takes a day. but could be sometime later than the installation.
Other solar hardware.
We will have “other hardware”, such as everything you could possibly need.
Bus bars, connectors, racking, mounting systems, trackers, breakers and so much more. The issue is that there is SO MUCH, that keeping the shop up to date is near impossible and time consuming. – hence why we are going down the kits and module route.
