The Node which is under current development is a device that stores the data and displays it. A small server type device provides you more independence. You have had the web page, which you can view from your phone and computer internet browser directly from the ShineX replacement. the display is a small device that powered by USBC. It will wirelessly connect to the ShineX replacement to gather the data.

Your display’s ability to showcase 62 different parameters from the inverter and batteries is impressive. Users can easily monitor crucial data such as export, solar production, and battery state of charge (SOC). These metrics are especially relevant for energy-conscious individuals.
Despite its compact size, the display packs functionality with features like low power consumption, Wi-Fi connectivity, and Bluetooth (even though it’s not currently in use). You can ONLY use this with our growatt ShineX replacement.
The stock unit transmits your data else where, while our unit makes the data and holds it, it produces integration feeds that allows us to use these to make the display work. The stock unit does not have this option, other inverters also will not work as they have different protocols that have to be decoded and constructed. Can I use it anywhere?
Yes, just plug into a USB c cable to power it, When you are setting up you need to use your external addresses and set the port on your router so that if can connect via wifi. You could set the wifi, Ideally with your phone; which can provide a hotspot then you can secure your system.
Does it have a battery?
This our first model, but we do want to have a rechargeable battery model. This means no cables, and fits in your pocket; but does mean a BMS has to be made to work with this, I wont bore you with the tech details, its not straight forward. We already have prepared the software for “battery saving operation” to get some very long runtimes.
Will this work with the standard Growatt inverter dongle and ShineX or Shine app?
No. Growatt has made there hardware locked to them, their servers. Their dongle does not make local data available. so you have to buy our replacement, which has more features and better range.
Will this work with other inverters?
No; this is just working with Growatt, We are bringing out other models for other inverters, next is Solis Solax and Sunsynk/Deye..

While in the image you can see the basic live data, we are also making a graph display on the screen. It’s a lot of coding and check out our Facebook page for info on that..
It would be interesting to hear what you would like to see on the display. Preferably just text as the node will have more of the graphics
The node will be the command device, which will work with the shineX replacement, you don’t need to have the node for this remote display.
And yes, works underway for Solax inverters too 😉
