24v/48v LFP battery

For a long time RenewSolar has offered the lowest and best value batteries in the UK. We test and vet as well as improve batteries, taking the risks away from you. No one likes to gamble with the money that batteries costs these days, but here you don’t have to.

Batteries are available in a range of styles, the ABS “tubs”, the rack mounts, and the wall mount as well as the floor standing battery’s are all available.
We do also offer cells, BMS’s and kits to make your own battery, but that’s another story.

24v 100ah LFP Battery with active balancer And if you have noticed, they are 105ah cells, and yes the terminals are in a different place. DC/CC 100a 300a 1s. 2a Active balancer max 2S 48v configuration.

lets address the terminal location, If you have a 48v system, then you would want two of the battery packs. The space remains the same and it was likely that you would have all four terminals in view. This design, means there are only two terminals and they are closer together, meaning shorter cables and better cable management.
In parallel with 24V systems, the cable different is also much shorter and reduces the issue of our of balance batteries.

105Ah cells or over rated cells are common place for better brand batteries, The quality A grade cells and manufacture will tend to vary a little and there is a reserve for the battery to keep them running longer. While we are told to rate the cycle life as >4000 ( or greater) we already know they are also rated for 6000 cycles or greater. The difference in the rating comes from the type of battery it is, they are the cold start/charge and high current surges that can be common in this type of battery, however most of that type is only rated to 2000 cycles. so we are in the double to triple range here.

Why such a good price?
When we say cheap and budget, but its really is down to value and somewhat features.
The RRP for the battery pack is £545 (or there abouts) but here are some of the features your compromising on. Not a smart BMS and App. No internal fuse, No CAN/RS485, No heater.
What you do get is a quality and usable battery with a warranty.

Can you upgrade?
The box is screwed. so no problem sticking your nose into this battery as nothing is hidden. (signs of a decent battery).. You could install heat mat and controller, there is some room for this within the box.
for the costs of this upgrade the matt is around £8, but this does not include the control for it. ( some BMS have this option…
Could you change the BMS to a smart BMS? Yes, the BMS is surface mounted, and the balance cables have a pretty standard JST plug. its going to cost around £65 for that upgrade.
Can you upgrade the cells? You could, they will fit 200ah cells in the box. However if you are thinking of this, then look at another battery already!

Marketing.

By far the biggest problem we have here is the marketing of our batteries. let me explain. Bigger battery more money… More money better battery… you get what you pay for…
pretty much none of these apply, but they do effect how people buy and perceive.

look for yourself and I will give a star rating for each of them.
5.12kwh Budget £575 4*
5.12Kwh Tubs £750 3*
5.12kwh Rack £750 5*
5.1kwh (eco-worthy) £678 4*

This may not seem bad, but let me continue.
9.6kwh Wall (prem) £1200 5*
11.77kwh Budget £770 4*
15kwh floor (prem) £1655 5*

As you can see the 15kwh when divided by 3 for the compared to the budget battery, that’s just £551 per 5.1kwh, so it makes that look a bit budget.

We can not use a marketing slogan, “We are not cheap we just don’t rip you off or have share holders profits to pay”. And Affordable quality, sound like a high street thrift store.

Delivery times.
Delivery times on this battery have somewhat improved, about 4 days across the UK

Reviews.
For a long time people don’t really leave reviews unless they are moaning or challenged. While we did once have a “special person” fake review many years ago, it is important that some of you return to write a review to help other people. I have made a review video on the battery, I just haven’t edited it and we cannot therefore compare the other battery and this one just yet…
