England is filled with tinkerers and the garden shed or the garage is a playground to adults and those who want to experiment with solar, lets face it; we build a test rig, look up stuff on line and give it a go. What I have found is that a lot of people will go on to do more. yes you say its only a little cheap… its only for now.. its going to be small… But once people build there first solar power rig, they always go on to do and want more.
Solar power is a risk, there are some risks with solar power and this is both a DC and AC power risk, DC being a little more of a beast to control. But you need to think about “the base” of any system and what is safe and cost effective. If your core is good then you can play more and add more as you take your solar journey, There is no point is trying to save a few £ just to burn down the shed or having to buy twice as you went down the “cheap seats” route.

DIN-
Din is a standard mount system which you will know and that is what you call your fuse box, regulations require these to be metal and that makes them a little fire resistent. With decent hardware installed into this you can have DC isolation, and AC protection from just one affordable box.
This takes away the wires strune over the walls, going to a fuse then to another big isolator switch and from one thing to another. Not only does this look like a dropped plate of spagetti it also presents some risks and looks a mess.

The Cost
Buy a Consultation and the parts are cost. For us Time is money and we get asked alot of questions and time is money. RenewSolar works a little differently in that we charge for the services rather than putting up prices to cover the time thats wasted. This means that you get a upfront cost, and a personal service and hardware at the cost price as the opperational money is in that consultation fee.
The Flip side is that you get “trade prices” well, youre lightly to get better than trade as we often take out the middle men, so everyones cut along the line has not added to the price of the hardware you want to buy.
