Buying a battery for many is about the ascetics while the core of the battery remains the same the buy or not to buy can come down to a few factors.
This is the 15kwh Battery in a soft edge design with a larger display screen so while this JK BMS is known to many, the difference is just from the user experience. While the “new gadget” in the home appeals, with its colour display and being a touch screen, it will seldom be used as I am sure that you will have wireless integration into something else, like the app, or home assistant, or you may view the battery data from your inverter control/ data app?
What does 15kWh mean?
Well it should mean that the battery will provide you with 15 kw of power or 1 kw of power to your loads for 15 hours. But this is not quite that simple. Battery “available power” varies on temperature and load, the lower the load the more power you can usually take from the battery and the temperature of the battery also effects the power output. from below 10oC you lose about 10% of the capacity.
The testing of the cells for there actual capacity is used in the construction of the battery, therefore the initial test show that the cells are all above 300ah, while the BMS reserve will lower the actual output to ensure the cycle life from the battery itself.
The Battery Make Up
Some offer battery packs as a 15s these are 16s meaning that there are 16 individual cells within the battery pack itself. The voltage is measured as 3.2 x 16 = 51.2v (Nominal) the charge voltage is 58.4v and the charged voltage will be 55.2v.
Typically all cells in the battery will be from EvE and be 300ah so that math is 300 x 51.2 giving 15,360 Watts of power
Dual Power ports ( left side) You have two positive and two negative ports on the upper left side of the pack allowing you to link more batteries together, these are standard ports and do not require the socket cables.
Data ports are the standard layout and located in the top rear of the battery on a recess.
Breaker – Located on the right side top in a recessed area. (matched with the other side)

Lead times.
Order times are around 1 month depending on stock amounts that we will keep. We do not tend to be able to keep any battery in stock as with the great prices, they are always sold before we can stock the battery. The size and monitoring of stock batteries is also a consideration. Normally by the time you are ready for the battery, it will arrive for your installation.
