Making solar affordable to many is one aim that we have, so we were thinking of solar systems that you pay monthly for while not hurting your pocket.
The thought process here was a small solar system ( grid tied) for around £10 per week so that you are clear in a year.

The problem is that we would be taking risks and there are other costs some of which may be a challenge or may be can be deferred?

Lets start the process here and you can follow along.

- The essentials.
2 panels.
1 micro inverter.
2 rails.
6 hooks.

£347.00

- The basic extras.
Ac cable.
Protection.
Connection.

£152.00

- Other stuff

installation.

So we are at £500,  but the other stuff needs to be addressed. Administrating things can take a lot of time and add costs, for example a none payer with £75 court fees for recovery... The notice should be fairly straight forward as we can template that.

installation is not simple and there are the risks or danger here, and we have had people wire things wrong, even when they have videos, and manuals (with pictures) as well as being told. Under UK regulations a home owner cannot add a new circuit, and you cannot be sure that you can "tap" into one that exists or that the tests and commissioning is carried out.

Now lets move to the solar panels. if they are on a low roof then the risk is lower, but the cost of scaffold is costly and most people wont want to install or have the tools to install let alone the skills (experience) to install roof hooks and providing weather tightness. this could be considered a "bit of a issue".
It does make me wonder if we try something else? roof/ground tubs?

Tubs tend to be costly. but in respect of scaffold hire they may be a lower cost option. I think we may offer A frames....
